Well the morning starts off just a little bit hectic, with me almost not making it. Thank you to all those that are so quick to lend a hand, that is what keeps this trail running so well. Greg and I are going to create a care package for his vehicle and Bobby’s vehicle just to be on the safe side in the future.
Coming in first place with a very impressive bag of 4 fish was Mr. Mike Vining. Mike beat us all with 16.03 anchored by a 4.61 largemouth. And yes that was our lunker largemouth of the day. Mike frazzled dazzled and then lost two fish. He actually didn’t need them after all ,but he is still pretty angry at himself. He was swimming a jig looking for a reaction bite and boy did he get it. Congratulation, once again. Hope to see you at the next one.
Coming in second place Steve Graham. Steve did his thing with his jig, the Steve Graham perfect jig. Steve threw that perfect jig all day to tabulate 15.51 at the scale anchored by a 4.55 largemouth. Steve was treated to a fabulous day because he had little man Hunter with him. Hunter came to the scale with a whopper of a 1.30 Way to go Hunter. Steve talks to having his limit by 10 am and culled a couple more times after that.
Third place winner John Diaco came to the scales with 15.06 anchoring that 15+ bag was a 4.52 largemouth and a 3.24 smallface. John had his limit by 9:30 throwing a jig and working jerk baits. Well done John and thanks for making Wednesday your day off now. It is great to see you.
Coming in fourth was Mark Peabody with 12.85 anchored by a 4.23 largemouth. Mark worked his jig and got a smallmouth early on with a spook. Well done hope to see you at the next one at Squam.
Taking our coveted first loser was Don Fales with 12.12. Don talks to catching most of his smallmouth on spider jig and his largemouth on Senkos. Well done Don. Taking our lunker smallface was Greg Saulnier with a 3.57
Thank you again to everyone who came out. I don’t want to ever not say thank you enough to those that are always there to help. A special thank you to those that stepped up and volunteered to bring our fish out to a safe spot, a very big Thank you to you all.
See everyone at Squam on September 2!!
