What a WONDERFUL day we had.  It was the day before Father’s day and the sun was shinning and all those special people (Dads) had big smiles hanging with Sweethearts, Moms, daughters, sons, girl friends and wives.. Wow it doesn't get better then that. Does it!!!

As I said, the weather was great, there were lots a smiles and laughs from all. Even though we were coming back from what most would call a tough bite,  we still had those smiles.
As we set up for weigh in we could here the smack starting.  Lost a BIG one !!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOO.   Man if only?Huh and yes I think we did ok coming from who would be our sand baggers we called winners for the day.  LOL

As it would be, the stage was set and the game faces were on as they were carrying their total weight to the scales laughing all the way.   One by one they dumped those fish in the sink and as the crowd went woooooooooo oooooooooooooo that's a big one yep.  Then again - only if only if. You could hear it through the crowd.

First to break the ice at the scale was the farther / daughter team of Mark Peabody and Meredith Peabody and from the smiles it was very obvious they had Fun. Hope you found those smiles on Sunday as well.

We have a couple teams today, not taking home any money but are worth notable mention. The team of  Steve O’Brien and Sue Benton and the son and “His older sister” team of  Ryan and Judy Richardson who  held our Lunker large mouth with a big one,  just under that 5 1/2 mark.  Unfortunately we have SAND baggers in this little club.  LOL

Time for the report of how most caught them:
Senkos
Drop shots
Spider grubs
and yes BIG Spinner baits

Now kids coming in First Place with 13.26 was Susan and David Tsao coming to the scale late in the process because he was a sink man for most of the teams.  As he watched, you could almost see him say I think I have one bigger.   LOL  No I'm kidding.  Susan and David had only had five bites, including the lunker of the day at 6.52 which anchored their big bag of 13.26.  David and Susan talked about Senko's, jigs and we hear that Susan works a mean net when the Big fish are splashing. Well done Kids. What a great way to start Father's day weekend.  David... Susan I hope dinner was yummy.

Coming in second, another tough team to beat, Mike Spurr and Deb Ash.  As Deb shared she was the one that got the big fish (in the net)  They held the very prestigious first place all the way to the weigh in of the last four teams. Mike and Deb targeted post spawn fish early on,  moving from shallow water to deep water eventually getting the pattern that gave them second place with 12.26 anchored by a Big green one at 5.62   Their limit came around 11:00 as they culled another two times using spinner baits and senko's

Coming in third place, David and Carrie Fontone.  This couple couldn't have been happier or should I say Carrie.  My what a smile a hundred dollar bill brings to faces.   LOL
Then this couple locked up Lunker smallface with a 3.39.  Nice way to lock third up.
Carrie and David shared they worked hard for all the bites they got, and even the bites they almost got.  David had a BIG one come un-buttoned in front of Greg and Alan Day our tournament directors.   Well I'm sure it was the fish to have given them the win. But at the end of this day these two had smiles none the less.

OK OK Now that first loser spot. Wow a great way to end the day.
John Fortier and Denise Fontone collected the coveted prize of First loser.  John shared he and Denise struggled early on and had to abandon their original plan because the fish would not cooperate.

Winner of our Grizz Baits Giveaway – Alan and Betty Denise.  Thank you Grizz Baits.

We would also like to Thank Alan Denise, Dave Tsao, Alan Day, and Greg Day for all their help. Thank-You.

And Thank you for all those smiles gang !!!  See you all at Massabesic on July 17th.

See you on the water – casting your dreams.
