Well doesn’t anyone work anymore?? We had 36 players willing to brave the elements (per a bad weather persons prediction) but fortunately we only got a light drizzle followed by some warm warm weather on a day where it was a tough bite as you will see from the weights.  It was not  your typical weights for such a fishery.

Coming in first place today with 12.03 was Cory Nearing who targeted smallmouth all day.  Cory’s bag was anchored with as 2.62 smallie. Cory caught most of his 12 or so fish on drop shots. Cory’s enjoying that new boat it seems to be catching just fine. Well done

Coming in second place, and we all said the same thing”WOW that was a close race for first and second place” was Chad Bragg with 12.02. As Chad brings his mixed bag, 3 largies and 2 smallies, to the scales Cory watches very closely.  LOL  Chad caught this stinger running and gunning.  He had his limit around 11:30 and culled a few times, mixing it up. Chad’s success came using a rig and drop shotting. Well done Chad.

Third place winner with 11.29, Greg Saulnier caught most of his bag of five smallies on a rig with just two coming in on a spider grub. Greg’s trusty Rig didn’t fail him today.

Fourth place was held by Bryan Dexter with 10.95,  Bryan targeted those green fish as he was seen running and gunning targeting those hot spots which we can not speak of.  Great Job out there today.

Fifth place, with just 4 fish was Rob Morin with a very impressive bag of smallmouth topping the scales at 10.78 with his kicker weighing in at 2.78.  Nice Job

Our coveted First Loser spot for the first time was tied between  Dave Pfieffer and Mike McNamara both with 10.48.  LOL  Thanks Dave, I am still smiling.

Our Lunker largemouth went to Mike Vining throwing his trusty jig.  Funny he thought it was a two fish limit when he got to the scale.  LOL. Oh Well, His lunker largemouth tops the scale at 5.44 is a job well done.SON>>  Taking lunker smallmouth was David Fontone with a very nice smallmouth tipping the scales at 3.29.  Nice job.

Winning our Grizz Baits giveaway was Chuck Huston and our Free Entry to any Midweek in 2010 went to Mike Vining.

See you on the water  casting your dreams.
